The opening of the football academy of the Dushanbe club "Istiklol", located in the village of Almosi, Gissar city, took place on December 7, 2012.

The President of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, cut the red ribbon, symbolizing the opening of the sports training complex, and wished success in nurturing football "stars."

This academy has no analogues in the republic. The "Istiklol" academy includes an administrative building, a building with educational and sleeping facilities, a dining hall, a medical and rehabilitation center, a swimming pool, saunas, and a gym.

Children have access to several fields – natural and artificial.
The "Istiklol" football academy, in its current form, will be able to accommodate 140 teenagers.

Young football enthusiasts at this academy will not only hone their football skills but will also receive a general secondary education.
